Celebrate National Library Week at the Lexington Public Library!  From April 8 through April 20 (EXTENDED DUE TO WEATHER) the Library will host events including:

·       A Food for Fines opportunity.  The library will take $1.00 off any overdue fines for each non-perishable item donated.  The donated items will be distributed to the Lexington Food Pantry and to Micah’s House.

·       Drop by the library and play “Match the Shelfie to the Selfie.”  Guess which bookshelf belongs to which librarian.  Prizes will be awarded·

POSTPONED!!  Julie and Mike will NOW be at the Lexington Public Library on Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m.  Join us for great songs, impressive talent, and contagious fun as we listen to Classic Country and Gospel music.  This program is sponsored by the Lexington Public Library Memorial Fund, the Friends of the Lexington Public Library, and the Lexington Community Foundation.

The Lexington Public Library is celebrating Super Heroes during the month of April.  Children and their caregivers are invited to join us on Thursday 19, from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. for great Super Hero activities. On Thursday, April 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., we will have a grand finale party where children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Super Hero.  Don’t miss out on any of these fun sessions!

Rubik Cube Fun with Dawson County Children’s Museum – Gauge Hausbrouk, of Cozad, is a Rubik Cube Master.  Join us Saturday April 21st from 10 to 11, as Gauge shows us his skills.  Brink your cube and get help!!

LEGO Club meets on Thursday, March 8 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Lexington Public Library.  Children 4 years old and older are invited to join us for an afternoon of creating with LEGOs.  Children under 9 years old must have a parent or adult caregiver in the library during LEGO Club.  LEGO Club is supported by Walmart.

Novel Stitchers meets on Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m.  If you enjoy stitching–knitting, crocheting, quilting, cross stitch, needlepoint, or have another portable stitching project–join us at the library for two hours of stitching and visiting.  We will meet on Tuesdays, April 10, 17, and 24 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Lexington Public Library Board Room.  We would love to have you join us.

Story Time meets on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m.  Children and their caregivers are invited to join us at the Lexington Public Library for stories, activities, and music.  Make time to join us for this fun and social program.
